Abington Emerson and Joint Venture Partner Complete Construction of 150,000sf Self-Storage Facility



CHICAGO – May 11, 2020 – Abington Emerson Investments, LLC in a joint venture with ROC, Inc., completed the ground up development of a self-storage facility in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook. The 150,000 SF facility consists of two, 100% air-conditioned buildings for self-storage and high-end car storage. The self-storage building has 398 units of various sizes. The Toy Box Car storage building has space for 108 cars and is one of the most exclusive car storage facilities in the Chicagoland market catering to owners of high-end luxury vehicles, offering wash bay/ towel service and spacious stalls with electric outlets. The property is located at a busy intersection with a high level of visibility and is situated within close proximity to residential and commercial sectors. The facility will be managed by Life Storage, Inc. and has started accepting tenants.


Abington Emerson’s partner, ROC, Inc and its principals have a long track record in industrial and storage investment and development and have been working with many national and regional storage operators. The construction of the property was completed in under a year and the facility is expected to be stabilized in the next 24 months.
